FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW CAN I OBTAIN AN APPOINTMENT?

Please call us to book your appointment. If you need a same-day appointment we recommend you call early.

Online appointments are available here

Our appointments are routinely 12 minutes, with a maximum of 4 appointments booked per hour.  Our scheduling ensures that there are appointments available on the day for acute illness, urgent and emergency care.

Longer appointments are required for insurance examinations, pre-employment examinations, multiple health issues and emotional or psychological problems.

Despite our best intentions, we sometimes run late!  This can happen due to unforeseen medical emergencies or patients requiring more time during consultations.  Our reception staff will keep you informed if there will be a significant delay.

If you are unable to attend your appointment please let us know so that someone else can use this time.

Quick Clinics are available when the Bulk Billing doctor is unavailable. Quick clinics are bulk-billed brief appointments allowing  patients to quickly obtain repeat medication (excluding new medications), re-referrals (excluding new referrals) or immunisations (excluding travel vaccinations) with no out of pocket cost.

DO YOU OFFER BULK BILLED HEALTH CONSULTATIONS?

We offer bulk billing for all children under the age of 16 years for all doctor visits.

In addition, we have a doctor available who provides bulk billed consultations for ALL patients. Please ask for an appointment with Dr David Beaini.

We are unable to offer bulk billing with all our doctors. The cost of providing medical services continues to increase whilst Medicare rebates have failed to keep up with inflation for well over a decade.

WHAT ARE THE CONSULTATION FEES?

Current consultation fees are available from Reception and vary according to time and complexity.

Bulk billing is available for concession patients (health care card holders and pensioners)  with some doctors for weekday consultations.

Bulk billing is available for ALL children under 16 years of age with ALL doctors.

Doctor David Beaini offers consultations with a  gap fee of $25 for private patients. Pensioners, Health Care Card holders and children under 16 years of age are bulk billed.

If you have a bank debit card with PIN number, Medicare can now instantly reimburse you with the Rebate, meaning that you effectively pay a gap-only amount on the day of consultation.

ARE HOME VISITS AVAILABLE?

Our doctors can make home visits to known patients when attendance at the surgery is physically not possible.  Please ask our reception staff if you require a home visit.

HOW CAN I SPEAK WITH MY DOCTOR BY TELEPHONE?

If you require advice by telephone, our reception staff will take your message if your doctor is unavailable to speak with you immediately. Your call will be returned as soon as possible. If suitable, our nursing staff may be able to answer your question. Unless you experience an urgent or emergency medical problem, we do not routinely interrupt doctors whilst they are in consultation with patients.

ARE THE CLINICS ACCESSIBLE BY WHEELCHAIR?

We provide wheelchair access at the entrances and toilets of both clinics.  If you have special needs, please ask one of our friendly staff to assist you.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATES AND REFERRALS

It is illegal to pre-date or post-date any medical certificates or referrals.  Please ensure you obtain specialist referrals from your doctor before you see the specialist.

DO YOU ACCEPT NEW PATIENTS?

Absolutely! We welcome new patients to our medical centres and invite you to complete a registration form and authority to transfer your records from your previous provider.

HOW CAN I PROVIDE FEEDBACK?

We would like to hear from you if you have any feedback on our services. Whether you wish you share your compliments or ideas for service improvement, you can contact us directly from the feedback page. Our team will contact you promptly.
